Vertical cracks in masonry can be caused by lintel failure, subsidence, ground movement, settlement etc and should be addressed to ensure the structural integrity of the structure. All cracks pose a problem to the structural integrity of a building, superficial cracks are susceptible to water ingress leading to a damp interior and more serious cracks such as subsidence or bowing of walls need to be addressed immediately.

Maystone Structural will install structural bars into the bed joints, stitching the crack and redistributing tensile loads minimising further development of the crack. Once the structural bars are embedded across the crack our teams will re-point using a mortar best matched to existing ensuring a sympathetic, cost effective and permanent repair.
